I have had a bad cold for 3 weeks and was just getting over it. I had done a covid test and it was negative.
Thursday felt cold all day and l lit the log burner. Friday I was listless and heavy cold again. Fever at night. Yesterday felt dreadful so late last night did another covid test. Guess what v strong positive. WTF!
I haven't a clue where I could of caught it.
Looks like tennis club hog roast tonight and Monday BBQ will have to be scrubbed

And what would you have done different if it had come back negative? Presume you’d still keep away from others and not try and share it.
Yes this is a good point but many on zero hours contracts cannot afford not to go to work. Some if take off sick time get sacked. Covid is one exception.

That said you are 100% right if you feel I’ll stay at home.

Still makes you feel ill.
Was planning to go to Devon to help friend who's husband has had a stroke. Sadly he is back in hospital with Aspitation pneumonia if he caught covid it may well be fatal.
Also partner manages a small private hospital so doesn't want it !

Please don’t treat or say that COVID is just another lurgy. For many it is an utterly debilitating disease for which there are no cures. Speaking as one who is living with long term effects, to go from being fit and active human being to a condition where at times a 100 metre walk leaves you gasping for breath, it can be a lot worse than a simple lurgy.

I remember you complaining like **** when you caught it at the Pub in 2020? think they shut the pub for a while and burned the landlord at the Stake... :tiphat:
Wasn't shutting the pub one of the most effective covid restrictions, it stopped it dead in its tracks didn't it along with discharging infected geriatrics from hospitals into care homes without testing them? Chris Whitty deserves a knighthood?

That's correct but there are reasons not too. I have a physio consultation next week so will contact them and see what's best to do.
When I worked in pathology we wouldn't let anybody with a bad cold come in as it would have a detrimental effect on the team. Bit of a specialised unit. Lots of people sitting in v close proximity all day doing a very specialised job.

Was that the covid or the jab ? 🤔

Not sure, had covid quite badly right at the start. Reacted badly to each of 3 jabs, and then had tested positive again later on.

I am doing hyperbaric oxygen treated with many others. Most of us had bad reactions to the vaccines. Several are much worse than me - as in a marathon runner who has been in a wheel chair and only now just getting enough strength to start walking.
