So 10 year old lab bitch just a great all rounder but deer 99% of time
Shot a fallow doe , on gralloch gave her 1 kidney reward nothing unusual
Stalked on no other success on way back she walked into a pile of the treated human waste within 5 minutes I had her paws in a fast flowing brook cleaned off , an hour or so later she looked poorly slid downhill next day refused food so got her in vets very quick. Bloods showed liver problem meds given and fluids and she’s home after a day at the vets £££ three figures
Vet said hopefully and aggravated liver not a failing one fingers x’d .
Hate not knowing stalking without her would be like going with no bolt and no mate to share the whole experience . Everything is x’d

Hope the dog improves soon 👍. I feed mine fresh kidneys occasionally, have never noticed an issue, mine always gets a good slice of liver as a rule. Again have not noticed any side effects from this either.

UPDATE
So far so good medication 💊 done appetite better chirpy and wasn’t too pleased she got left at home twice at the weekend.
I’m convinced it had something to do with the human waste heap now !
My mate had similar and his spaniel was sick very quickly too !
My advice is AVOID the black heaps that are more frequently used for fert these days
Hopefully she’ll be out this weekend don’t think I could load the truck with the stare she gave me again !

I always give the kidneys to my dogs. Never had a problem. I suspect that it was what she walked in.
Same here with the Teckel - he had 4 roe kidneys on Sunday, 2 muntjac and would have had the last roe pair if I hadn't thought that's enough for a wee dog. Suspect (as others) it was that other contaminant!
