As like the vast majority on here I am stood down at the moment I have had all the kit out to charge batteries, sharpen stuff and generally work out if I use what I carry.
I know this has been covered before, but for want of anything else to do this is what I carry on me for lowland stalking. Mostly on Roe, Fallow and Muntjac. Sometimes I go out for longer stalks (morning through to evening) and add a small day sack with a camel back and snacks in.
My list is:-
Binos
Thermal
Range finder
Knife
Saw
Head torch
Spare batties x 2
Sling
S hooks
Wind checker
Gloves
Wipes
Some of these items I carry out of habit and very rarely use. The wind checker, range finder and a hooks very rarely get used, but I still carry them because I am sure if I ditch them I will suddenly find a need. Silly really but the combined weight of 300 odd grams doesn’t really matter.
I used to carry all this stuff in my jacket pockets but over the last very wet winter I change to the vortex bino harness and now everything lives in there.
Not shown in the picture are: -
Roe sack that I carry in the poachers pocket of my jacket.
