Knife making using induction coils as heat source

After a pm discussion with another member I am wondering if any of the bladesmiths on here use induction heating coils as a heat source when making blades, I am interested in getting started in knife making but will only have a small wooden workshop, hence the induction coils, and not a traditional forge "open flame" approach, yes I could build a forge in a wooden shed but if i could go flameless it would be a lot safer
Cheers in advance

I would have thought that induction heating steel to the temperatures needed in knife making using standard 50 Hz mains power would be very slow, because the frequency is very low and the limited amount of power available from a mains outlet.

Not the way it is done, most are rf heaters.

You need to buy a small single burner gas forge. They are very portable and run on propane. I to have fire issues with my knife making so I just get the forge and place it outside when I need to use it. Bought mine on Flee bay for about £100 if I remember right.

A couple of blacksmiths I know use them...David Hyde was also selling the 15 kW singles phase and the 25 kW three phase machines.

Would be worth giving them a call, but as I said in my PM the Swan Portaforge may well be more versatile and appropriate for knife making even if not quite so energy efficient.
