Hi, anyone out there have any experience with the above breed, I'm looking for an all rounder, deer, beating, and non moulting pet( I know! ) Partner has one of these on her wish list, cheers

Been trying to get one of these in the country from Tuscany but unfortunately it has been very frustrating. I have contact for a breeder in Sienna who is a third of the price of one here. I have spoke to the LR club here in the UK, the person I spoke to told me that she knew every breeder in Italy and had not heard of the one I mentioned, she was so far up her own backside I decided to give the LR UK club a wide berth.. PM me if you want the contact in Italy..

Nice friendly dogs with a very good nose, used a friends one in Tuscany to find truffles, boy could it dig! Unfortunately it was stolen, truffle dogs command quite a good price in the region..

Be interested to know how you get on, just about to try training the GWP to truffle and think the LR has been overlooked in this country as a decent hunting companion, and yes can see why folk think they are cockapoos they look very similar.

This is my parents Lagotto, never trained as a gun dog but they have a hell of a nose on them for sniffing things out! Friends, quite vocal and very active especially as a puppy he was crazy.

Cracking looking dog good bone looks sturdy and could take a days work, kind eye and a huge nose😂 how often does he need clipped for coat care ?

Needs brushing ever day or so and clipping every 8-12 weeks depending how short you cut and how long you grow it. Looks better when it's longer
