Anyone know if this course https://www.lantra.co.uk/awards/product/humane-animal-despatch times out/expires and if so do you have to re-take it? I originally did the course with Jelen and I note from their website they still hold this course, the BDS version always seems full as soon as dates are announced!

LANTRA issues a sustificate of attendance. Woooo!! So you were certainly there, and if you can remember what went on you probably don't need to do it again.
Thanks, sorry I should have added in my original post, I have the LANTRA Skills ID card but there is no expiry on it against the course title and this course is likely to be a pre-requisite for new volunteers on the joint Police/Highways Authority call out scheme for humane dispatch here in Sussex, hence my interest.
My course was run by the now-retired BDS' Dave "If you have a pistol you're a cowboy" Goffin, and was interesting as much for the mix of attendees (pro + recreational stalkers, police officers, one or two toffs, etc.) as for the content. My Certificate of Attendance says that I have "completed training" as a HAD. There's an attendance date, but nothing that indicates "VALID TO". My FEO seemed happy with that. Sorry, don't know about the skills ID card.
Hi no real answer to you question,but if it helps iv'e held a Registered Slaughter Licence for many years with no expiry date.But the law changed in 2015/16?. It changed to what they call Certificate of competence (same thing!!),but I didn't have to do anything because of what is known as grandfather rights. This does not have a expiry date either,so i'm guessing the the same applies to the Lantra.
