Leatherman warranty

Just thought I would share my great experience with Leatherman recently. I was given the first tool they made for my birthday back in 1988 and recently one of the screwdrivers broke so I looked up warranty’s and it says 25 years. I emailed them and they said no problem they would replace it so just send it back. I sent the tool thinking it would be the screwdriver replaced but the sent me a brand new tool and upgrade as they don’t make the original PST anymore. The whole tool had seen better days so I was well pleased. 30 odd years warranty claim so very happy.

Wire cutters on pliers had big nick in them and the serrated blade was worn out. I still have and use it.

Ken.
ps. Just remembered it was a sea fishing hook shank.

Leatherman / Whitby are fantastic with the warranty. The date your multi tool was made is stamped inside the handle, four numbers, 0519 would be May 2019, if you are unsure if its past the 25 years.

Yep, replace on leatherman juice 18 years ago in Nepal for a same mode, which I managed to then later break and replaced with a ti wave which I have owned for past 15 years and still going strong! Solid multi tool.

Sent one back for a broken something or other good while back and fixed, good few years in between scissors failed but not through abuse sent back and received a new one, fantastic warranty think it was Whitby knives in Cumbria?

The warranty is lifetime, we return about 12 per year, usually broken blades etc, you get a refurbished return or a new one.

i sent a set back once i damaged the wire cutter cutting hard wire they sent me a brand new set within a week
