Oooh, there was a bad vegan taking over my favourite programme. Lol

Like watching children go in a huff

It’s not so much that, but it’s a fishing show where they catch fish and usually theres a lot of banter (including some important stuff) between Paul and Bob that just didn’t happen.

So putting a vegan on the show who doesn’t fish and did totally separate stuff and didn’t really interact with Paul just didn’t work.

The two kind of go hand in hand - him being a vegan meant he wasn’t doing the thing the show was about and it didn’t work.

Be like putting someone like Bernard manning on a sports or dancing show and expecting him to fit with the other presenters

They don’t really go hand on hand though. He may not fish but most vegans have no issue with anyone else fishing.
Picking a tv comedian to appear stand in on a tv comedy show is hardly a shock is it?

I heard he was crap but I’ve not seen it yet but hey ho, it’s only while Bob is I’ll so hopefully not long.

I think that's the point. Fishing is about a lot more than just fishing and certainly more than just catching fish. Most of us can relate to the banter when out fishing with mates. It would have been nice if the whole vegan thing was never mentioned but was a focal point.
