Low velocity .22lr

Help needed finding some low velocity desmond ammo please.

I recently acquired some very old .22 shorts that were perfect for a particular job I do from time to time. Several hundred rats later, I have exhausted said ammo.

Looking for somewhere in East Anglia that sells any form of low velocity rounds.
To be clear I am not talking subsonics......lower velocity is needed.....say 700-800fps mv.

Everywhere I have tried says....."we dont do them as nobody buys them"
Happy to buy bulk
If anyone stumbles across some in East Anglia please do let me know

Sherington Shooting Ground in Olney, bucks/beds border, quite often has them ( shorts) when I've asked for them.
Junction 14 M1 so depends on travel from you. However the owner Jim Gardner is good bloke, contact him and he might be able to help you.
Best regards Jess

I use RWS .22 Lang, they are lr cases with the short bullet and work well up to 35 yards for me and I do not need ear mufflers either so I can hear the blighters scratching about.

Z-Langs are great in terms of low noise. With a moderator fitted all I can hear is the firing mechanism. But! they don't suit my CZ. The best "group" I can get is 10cm - 15cm at 25m. Im not sure you can even call that a group.

CCI quiet segmented, 22lr, but at 750fps off the top of my head.
I was going to recommend these.

Not sure where you are in East Anglia but I bet Philip Webster at Wymondham would have them, if not he'd be able to get them in.

Have you looked at Air Rifles For Sale, Air Pistols & Airguns Delivered | Pellpax
ndtman was having difficulty locating .22 short some time back and he reports that Pellpax sorted him out and delivered direct to his door.
Pellpax are rubbish.
They were showing them in stock.....when I phoned to check they said they had to order them......2 weeks later I phoned for an update.....got told cant get them now.
Brother went there to buy a brand new fac air rifle and they equally disappointing then too

@Fursty Ferret
Try Sherington Shooting Ground in Olney, I travel a lot for work even in lock down, happy to collect on my licence.
My office is in Milton keynes, so Olney is just up the road and I also visit Ipswich at least twice a month, probably more
Your a good man......I'll come back to you if I continue to draw a blank locally

If you can get hold of ( rws Z LANG ) there as quite as a nats fart and only about 850fps bit dirty but accurate enough at 25 yrds only drawback not hollow point but good on rats and bunnys. I contacted ruag the importers of rws to find out who had them in stock .

Just for info.

The CCI shorts I put over the chrono, came out at pretty much 22LR std velocity speeds.
So avoid those, if you want low velocity.
