Danner Extra Wide 4E made in one style which does not come to Europe, no demand. But HanWag make a square fit extra wide which is recommended for people who have had foot surgery or injury apparently, it has "normal" heal width and arch so you don't step out of them. I am grateful for the pointer and am hopeful.

Hi.
Ihad my first pair for over 20 years used without any issues . But had issues trying to get replacements went over to meindls. Which didn't last.
Managed to get a pair off short forest boots 2 years ago a friend drought them in from Denmark for me.
Good boots but needed high leg ones. So I go in contact with Alpinetrec in Germany
Got my new pair 4 months ago and they sent them over from Germany no problem. All tax paid arrived in 5 days
Best boots going last for ever and a day if u look after them .

Excited. apparently the Hanwag extra wide square fit boots have arrived so I will be tearing into them after work and report back.

Disappointing as usual they are not wide. tried 10 and 10.5 which are more than long enough just too narrow. I can easily get day to day shoes in 9.5 or 10 that are wide fitting but just not any walking - hunting boots... unless I got to the Lunghags factory apparently for fitting. All I want is 10.5 5 or 6 E with sock allowance. Non waterproof appallingly made Chinese "boots" are available at the correct size, bought a pair and they leak and fall apart. Sorry to go on but it can ruin an outing quite easily if it is painful to walk.
