Lundhags sizing help .!!

evening,

I’m after some advice from the Lundhags wearers amongst us.

I’ve been convinced that there a good boot to have and they will last ect ect.

However I can’t find a uk stockist where I can try a pair on so have decided to chance it online and swap them if necessary.

HOWEVER..

I’m a uk 9. Always have been always will be ..in everything imaginable. shoes wellies boots trainers.

Now by my calculations that’s an EU 43 which depending on which size guide you look at in cm is roughly 27cm. Which has already thrown me as I’ve measured my foot and I’m actually 28cm (even though all my size 9 foot wear fits fine)

Now I thought it would be wise to have a look at the size guide specific to the boot I’m buying (Lundhags) and it’s completely blown my mind. Because according to there size guide I’m a uk 7 😂😂


In short is there anyone on here that is a uk 9 and if so what size are your Lundhags 👍

If I remember correctly, do you not add 20mm to your foot length for Lundhags.
I’m a size 11 but my foot is about 290mm, a size nine on the chart, but add 20mm and it’s a size 11. My Lundhags are a size 11 and fit like all my other footwear.
 
Note of caution from me. I bought some many years ago. I am a 9.5 wide usually and was advised to get 44.5 and there was too much movement in the heel, so sold them on
I recently bought some shell ones Varda I think. Great boots in 44 but a bit nippy initially after a few wears with oversized socks and the old football boot trick of hot water. Bloody awesome

Thanks for the advice. To be honest I’m really struggling finding any in stock. All the stockists that do the model I’m after only have a 44 in the opti which I believe is the wide and I just need regular. Shame as I’ve had top reviews on them.
 
I wear Lundhag hi-leg boots , also size 9. Bought by the boss, asked my boot size and they arrived at the cottage in the post. They came with felt slipper/socks , long gone now. I wear a pair of woollen socks over normal shooting socks,so presumably slightly bigger than usual size 9's. Boxy toes on them so they won't pinch or squash you. Had them years now, not a whiff of trouble with them, totally waterproof. Get Duck Wax every fortnight or so during the season then once again before putting away till partridge time.IMG_20221231_150123_112.webp

It was the professional high 2 that was recommended but they’re just not around so I’ve found these. Look mega supportive still. Fingers crossed they fit
 
No idea what mine are but those look ok. Believe mine are moose leather or so someone said on seeing them. Had a pair of Hunters in the 1980's, green leather with the same high rubber rand. Lasted years too, probably 12/15 years. Good kit, get what you pay for with Lundhag👍
 
Mine are similar but not as high.
I have had them 15 years or so and would happily trust them on a multi day out in Scotland ( or even Wales :D but I've heard wellies are better for the sheep).
Only negative I would say is the opening could be better for ease of foot insertion/extraction.

You really need to try them on as according to Haix I'm a 7 when I've never in adult life bought a 7 :-|
I'm a wide 8 so normally buy a 9.
 
It’s such a risk not being able to try them on but after all the research I’m not sure there’s a proper uk stockist offering that facility.

We shall see. I’ll let you all know anyway hopefully helps people in the same position going forward.
 
I’m a 9 in most shoes, but have a 44 in lundhags, they’re roomy and I’ve often wondered if I’d be better in a size down but if there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s boots being too tight, som much easier to add a better insole and wear good socks

I’m glad you said that. I was on the fence didn’t know wether to go 43 which is a 9 or 44 which is 9 2/3

I went 43 as a few people have said about wearing two pairs of socks ect but as you say let’s hope there not too tight else I’ll be knackered lol

Well if they are too small before you return them give me a shout, I’d be tempted to try them and see if my suspicions are valid!
