Can someone point me in the right direction for a manual handling course, applicable to deer work, offered in central Scotland.

Is it sufficient to complete an online course for this subject?

Many thanks for help in advance,

T

We got one of those at work. When we explained how we put a stag onto a pony, the guy shook his head, gave us the ticket, and walked away. Seems that it broke quite a lot of the rules.....

No risk assessment and form filling beforehand?

The online 'Manual Handling' courses cost around £15-£35 depending on provider.
They are totally and utterly useless and a waste of your 1/2 hour behind your laptop and a waste of your money.
However, if the Landowner requires it so they can tick another box on the 'Due Diligence' form...so be it. Be pragmatic, and go with the flow!
