Mauser 98 Oberndorf stocked action

All matching numbers complete with the original trigger and safety should anybody wish to restore it to original.
I believe it was originally a sniper rifle as one two numbers apart was described as that in a sale some time ago – I have a copy of the sale catalogue page.
Good stock, bedded, with high comb, recoil pad, sling swivels and tiger stripes
Slick action which locks up like a safe.
Fitted M J Canjar trigger and low scope safety, One piece scope mount and 1” rings, (Redfield / Burris / Leupold style).
Information for those not aware, this was the first rifle which cocked on opening and is the mother of all modern rifles, with controlled feed – it picks the bullet up as the bold closes behind that massive extractor, and feeds it into the chamber where the 4 lug bolt, (one being the handle), locks the action up safely.
Standard bolt face for ammunition up to 3” long.
Will accept £400 including carriage.
