Have you considered the issues with getting the T3 mag inlet re machined so you can lock up / align with the Sako action magazine
You may be better starting from scratch with a piece of alloy
It might be simpler to change your rifle and replace it with a Tikka t3?Hi could I buy a tikka t3 MDT chassis and fit a sako 85s action into it?
Many thanks
I have one of each on route from Proof
The Sako is a medium length (308) action
Anyway once they are back with me - I’ll post images so you may compare and then see the difficulties presented
The T 3 action is quite versatile - the Sako not so
It might be simpler to change your rifle and replace it with a Tikka t3?

You might get away with it - depends how much material is available to machine the pocket for the rear and forward action screws and the difference in contour / radius between T3 and 85 are obvious
Plus the bolt angle is different
