Anyone using meopta scopes? how do they compare for the price and where can you buy them from having difficulty find them online cheers.

I have 2 that are Meopta MeoPro. I think these are superseded models now but most of what I have read people are generally happy with the glass at the price point.

I imported something from Optics Warehouse once maybe they have something.

Been using the ZD 3-12x50 TACTIC for a number of years. Can’t fault the glass and hold zero well👍. No zero stop on my model though.

Going to go against the grain here, I have a couple of older Artemis scopes, they are very good, particularly at what they cost second hand.

Had a look at/through the optika range at Ivythorn, not the same quality in terms of contrast or image sharpness / clarity. They are a mid range scope and won’t challenge the higher end brands.

Also, the lack of uk importer is an issue if anything goes wrong. I bought an ex demo pair of LRF binoculars, there was a fibre in the right hand tube, on the edge of the sight picture but annoyingly there. Still under warranty so sent back to the shop, they had a nightmare getting hold of Meopta but managed to eventually and sent the bin’s back for repair. Fast forward 5 months and I am still without my binoculars, though hopefully they’ll be back next week!

The shop have been really good, meopta not so much!

I bought a Meopta R2,1,7-10x42 off a member here a few years ago. Still using it and perfectly happy with it. It looses out at last knocking of light but I’m fed up of blundering around in the dark retrieving dead deer.

Another Meopta fan here running a ZD 6x24x56 and a Meostar R1 3x12x56.

Also have the Meopta TGAH/H75 spotting scope.

Very very good quality glass for the money and with the light transmission up around the 92% mark they are all very good at the edge of light.

My Zeiss HT pips them, but not by much considering the price difference.

I have an Optika 6 3-18x50, it's a fantastic scope in my opinion. I can't compare it directly with the very high end stuff, but I do know I've been out with more than one different guide at last light who's said to me "surely you can't still see through that?!" when I absolutely can!

I got mine from Optics Trade EU. Don't be put off by the foreign-based website, shipping was no problem and their customer service team answered questions easily and quickly prior to making my purchase.

I have two, a 7x50 on a .22lr and a 3-12x50 on a .308, very clear optics not quite swaro but not far behind and a fraction of the price. Image quality is very good, in fact its the only scope I have that allows my ageing father to shoot, none of my other scopes allow him to see clearly

Have used, and still use several of their lower tier models. From the old Artemis 2000 to Meopro and Meosport. Solid builds, some models are a bit heavy compared to more expensive offerings. No bother for me. Never have had any problems with either the mechanics or the optics. Very good scopes for the money.
