Yep, they're good boots. I've had mine for ages and had no issues. There are those who say they aren't really Altbergs, they're just using the name, but I've seen no evidence of this, nor do I know how they think that would work in litigious Britain.
The boots sit around the middle of the scale weight-wise; I'd call them a 3-season boot. Not as light as a pair of jungle boots, but nowhere near as heavy as a pair of Haix cold weather boots. I'd say they're pretty good for most of the UK most of the time; I wouldn't wear them in the Highlands in deep winter, and they'd be a bit sweaty on a hot summer day down south, but otherwise good for the remaining 95% of the year.
I also use Meindl Burmas, which are awesome but a bit heavier tha the Altbergs. Perhaps a lighter model would
besomething like the Durban boot.
