Mincer cleaning.

I have a moulinex mincer which does a pretty good job.
But what a PIA to get the inside of the head clean. Cast ali so no good for the dishwasher. Tried soaking hot , cold and always end up spending ages poking about inside to get bitsout of the corners and crevices .
Perhaps thats just they way it is.
Any neat tricks or short cuts out there? or just get a mincer with all stainless attachments ?

I use a long handled brush I got in IKEA .Somewhere about a quid, slightly curved handle and ideal for cleaning all the grooves.

I soak the head in hot water and I use this sort of thing
Seems to work.

bottle brush or similar and use a couple of slices of bread to go through at end of mincing.... saves any wastage of meat and makes cleaning easier

Exactly what I use. With a bowl of hot soapy water it’s done in no time.

The bit of meat left inside goes to the dog. If I don’t give her that I’ll lose my leg! She watches the whole process to make sure I don’t forget! 😆

Put a few dry slices of bread through it, then wash it. it worked for my granny.

Obviously all bread isn't created equal, when I tried that on my Kenwood it just turned into a hideous doughy mess that filled up all the holes in the mincer plate and had to be cleared out one by one with a skewer 🙁

Hot soapy water and what I can only describe as an oversized toothbrush are my go-to now 👍🏻

Don't let the mincer parts dry. I rinse immediately after use in hot water then pop into soak with washing up liquid in bowl of hot water if not washing straight away. Once the meat dries, which it can quickly for small bits, it's a PIA
