How did it turn out after the ultra sonic bath?
Well, I've been using the ultrasonic for the rimfire mods, and it is quite remarkable how dirty those rounds are.

The ASE hasn't got into the ultrasonic yet, as I haven't been shooting the rifle it belongs on (it's a long range target rifle for me, and I don't need a mod for its such), and I haven't got a longer ultrasonic bath yet.

When and how can you tell/ deem a mod to be shot out, or is that impossible? Like some comments here I cannot strip mine, bought it second hand and have tried cleaning using bore scrubber then brake cleaner etc. would it just be when you perceived an increase in volume?

Not too sure if this would apply to a "normal" mod. Many years ago I bought three Quicksilver mods, these are titanium with ceramic baffles. I was told by the American manufacturers to fill them with vinegar and then flush them out with water. I've done this for the last 20 years and they are as good as new

I don't think they are available over here now, pretty costly mods but 20 years and still going strong is okay by me!

Not too sure what effect vinegar would have on a steel mod?
Helps with CHIPS!

BC.

the mods made to be stripped, dons, clean re assemble etc check the o rings, the mods you can't either buy cheep and expect to bin, or buy expensive stainless steel or full titanium ones like the wildcat elites, and they will last longer then you.
