Moderators off ticket tomorrow then ..

They do not make the rules, they uphold the rules.
So, who made all of the rules up that I listed?
The magical fake firearms legislation division?

All of those rules and conditions have applied and do apply in TVP and Herts over the last 15 years, so who has made them up if the police only enforce them?

Answers on a postcard to ……..

I call my FEO before every shot that I take. We have a good chat about the intended target, the wind, the coreolis effect, pressure, the back stop and if the quarry looks particularly mean. Can't understand why anyone wouldn't! I just love making life more difficult for myself.
Are you suggesting I am in constant liaison with my FEO? As it happens, I’m am not. We speak very infrequently, esp since he left Herts in Jan this year.

All of this 👆comes from people on here refusing to accept that they are not in charge and irrespective of how important and knowledgeable they are, if their FLD says jump, then they will.

Everything I have listed I have had to do for my own license or to assist with others getting theirs over the past 15 years or has been debated at length on here.

Don’t believe me? I really don’t give a toss! But that doesn’t change the reality that some of us have to deal with.

Just a shame that some on here lack the mental capacity to accept that not all fld’s act the same and that it’s a mixed bag.
It’s a tough concept to grasp, I admit!

Living with a solicitor who is ex police, you hear a few stories about how they operate.
My general rule of thumb is not to go round poking bears with sharpened sticks just for the sake of it.
I like an easy life and I don’t intend to change that approach any time soon. It’s worked out ok for me so far!!
Now that’s a fact!

Just let them do their job efficient or not

Right you lot!
Yet another thread behind derailed and offencive language being used.

Charlie has recently had to step in on another thread and ask everyone to chill out.

Calm it down please

You miss my point like a rushed shot!

All of these are conditional rules that FLD’s apply at will to license holders, all of which have no basis in firearm legislation. If you don’t comply then you don’t get your license.
No if’s, no but’s.
The police interpret the legislation as they see fit and apply it and other conditions to it in order to ensure that their risk level is maintained.

Rubbish, the first is within the law, ie the chief constable must satisfy themselves you are safe, fit and proper to own firearms, how they go about that is up to them, so yes mentoring is justified.
Likewise the second is within the law you need permission to shoot on any land.

The rest ask the FLD to put it in writing to you, stating which part of the firearms act or home office statutory guidance applies.

They are not god.
