What GOOD rifle makes have you owned?

Original poster needs to check how he creates the poll... he made it so you can vote for multiple choices, % is no. votes/no. of voters not total no. of votes !! ;)

LOL!

OK sorry for not mentioning some makes but I could only have a max of 10 choices... and I know most of us have owned at least two good rifles (we like to change so we can whine about them and spend fortunes trying to resolve the issue!)

Can we have another poll for troublesome rifles owned? That may be more informative (mind you, it could go on for a while...) that "bestest" ones.

really? don't hear that much!

You've heard it now, I hate mine, well maybe hate is too strong........
It is accurate and easy to load for, easy to use and look after.
But it stops there, badly finished with cheap and nasty looking plastic bits.
It is my only deer legal rifle and will stay for now, but as soon as I have something else it will go as fast as possible.
Maybe this is being silly, but it also has no 'soul' it is just a tool, and not a very well made one either.

I actually voted CZ as mine have been great, and I like using them, they look nice and are well finished, and importantly are just as accurate.
My first C/F was a Browning X-Bolt, again I liked it better than the Blaser, and it was better finished, even the cheap Browning synthetic stock is better than the Blaser one.

Neil. :)

All of the 6 rifles I've owned have been cz's or Steyrs. I've had a .223 Scout, a .243 Scout, a .223 Pro Varmint, a .223 CZ 527 and 2x .22lr 452's.
Favorite and most kills goes to the original 452 which I regretted selling the instant I got out of Avalons door :(
As a 'keepers centrefire truck-gun, you cannot beat the versatility of the Scout. Every time I take it out of the cabinet, I fall in love with it again. So versatile, so light, so 'handy', so maintenance free, so nice to shoot and so very accurate- even that 'tacky' bipod is good for 250y shots across the bonnet and the night you stumble across a litter of cubs when you barely even meant to go lamping; the spare mag in the stock is a godsend!

And to come? Well one day i'll afford nightvision for the .243 Scout, so a .308 Steyr Elite will become my deer rifle and my rifle set will be complete :)
Now where did I leave that spare £10k???

Contrary to the comments made by non-owners I am more than happy with my Blaser R8, and the same goes for my CZ 452 rimfires. The make that really disappointed me was the Remington 597 s/a which cycled inconsistently, especially when using anything less than HV ammunition. atb Tim

Anschutz 1432 - 22 Hornet

Oh yes someone has to do the real work (fox, vermin control) so all the show offs can shoot pheasants, partridge, grouse, deer etc without them being wiped out by the growing numbers of foxes, lol.:stir:

I voted for blaser and I was out stalking and never looked in last night cos I had to get up at 4 and go stalking again,it's a hard life looking after a blaser they're not just for Christmas they're for life.Joking aside I did vote for sauer and sako too, both lovely rifles but I just prefer my R8 for it's blinding accuracy and top quality plastic ,got to take it out for another walk in a bit they are very demanding.
