I think it’s fair to give the chap time to respond but if they don’t, then I also think naming would be beneficial as honest reviews are worth their weight in gold and you should highlight the outfitter once the due time has past - I know I certainly do as much as I can to read into reviews prior to booking with an outfitter.

If something has come up that meant they couldn’t go ahead with the stalk then that happens but that doesn’t mean radio silence is the norm either prior to or after the stalk date.

It’s unprofessional to not reply regardless of circumstances.

I’ve squeezed a fallow down in a harkila row sack !
Had to get on my back to fix get the sack on , Hardest bit was rolling over and crawling up a tree to stand up , but now not sure if that was the hard part or the 1/4 mile walk out the woods .
No wonder I’ve got a bad shoulder and back

I did see someone asking about mechanical aids for loading a carcass into a truck and I thought unless its well over 100kg just pick it up and chuck it in, save yourself some money.

Its a two way street this subject. In all instances there is no excuse these days for not communicating with the client, or with the client communicating with the guide/outfitter. Text, mobile phone, Email, land line or on here PM.

In my case with clients its rare that I have people let me down, and when I do most insist on still paying me. If plenty of notice is given I usually refuse and re book them or usually find another client. There are plenty of time wasters out there, but good communication with clients is vital running any business. But ocassionally life gets in the way, with all of us. Family issues, health etc. But there is no excuse for not letting people know.
