New accommodation allowing dogs on the Isle of Lewis

In the past I used to advertise accommodation on the Isle of Lewis but we couldn't keep dogs and I had many comments about this. We don't do accommodation any more but I keep trade membership just to help finance the site, I've nothing to sell. However I recently became aware of this self catering house available on the island that does take dogs and so thought to make people aware, just in case you are interested. I've never been in it and have no connection to it other than that I am aware of it through people I know who fish/shoot/stalk so I'm posting this for information. If you like wild sport and haven't been to Lewis then, quite frankly, you've been wasting your life so far:

The house is within walking distance of salmon/sea trout fishing on the Gress River (a season ticket is £25, I think it is £5 for under 16s and spinning etc. is allowed in some areas so the beginner is in with a chance) plus almost infinite trout is available all across the island. Also first class stalking, or grouse/snipe/woodcock over pointers can be arranged along with wildfowling etc. so it would make the perfect holiday location for anyone looking for some sport. As ever on Lewis there is a sandy beach a short distance away etc. so ideal for kids who like being outdoors.

I have done some fishing videos in the area in the past so here are a few just to give some idea of the immediate area and the sport. In this first one I had a wee salmon off the river almost in view of this cottage:

During the 2020 season while walking the moor for trout I bumped into the owner working his dogs for grouse with some guests. I started the day on the tidal part of the river, within view of the cottage, and then headed out the moor for trout. On the way back in i bumped into the grouse shooters and got to watch them finishing off their day and then walk out the track with them:

For another angle on it this was a few years back when I started on the tidal area of the river and then headed out past the cottage to trout on one of the more remote lochs:
