New butchery / man cave

Not so, as this was part of the pre built apex truss that came with the shed. This has been replaced with much stronger timber that fits, hence the piece of timber in question resting next to the door and beside the first fridge.
That is just a problem that goes with pictures these days. Like I said, nice shed. 😃

Preferred it when you vanished for a while. Any chance of a repeat performance?
Alternatively, maybe try to actually contribute something to threads as opposed to being a permatwat!
Sooky lah lah didn't like it when a coupleof members mentioned the out of level collar tie,you didn't even realise it was a Pisa until it was mentioned.
Btw tringaling I didn't vanish,I have never left and in the time i wasn't adding i noticed that you didn't either as you have never had anything of substance..still dont.
I hope your butchery hygiene is far better than your carpentry....flick me your address and I will send you a copy,no charge.

Oooh! Thanks for that link.
I was reluctant to spend more than £400 on a new one and the Tre Spade ones seemed to be the only that were good enough and within budget.
Will have a proper nose at them when I am back from walking the dogs.

I didn’t care about the tie, cos, and I said in the post, I removed it from the truss once the roof was up and water tight.
I didn’t build the truss - it came as a kit!
Still, rather than being normal and either saying nothing or making a neutral comment, you always see fit to poke at things - just makes you look like a muppet, I’m afraid.

Still, I have a shiny new butchery and man cave that most on here would have if it was available to them.

Jealously is an awful trait, John!

Yes it shows in you like a purple arse on a bitch chimp, its nice of you to admit it....meanwhile I will just go out and do some actual deer stalking....burns you eh wot!
What are you blabbering on about?
For your info, and not that I have to justify my life and decisions to an antipodean cockwomble like you, but I had to decommission my previous butchery because I sold the land it was on. Plus, all of my perms are largely populated with cwd and if you know our seasons, it not legal to shoot them until November.
So, please, crawl back under your rock and leave me alone.

antipodean cockwomble like you,
I love it, a cockwomble ha ha so generous of you, hey tringaling to save you the trouble of tracking, check this out.

No, I will have the skinning rail set so that I can both skin and break down into primals whilst hanging and the resulting joints go straight into one of the ‘clean’ fridges.
The gram fridge is only for hanging deer in their jackets.
Once it has matured in the fridge for a few days (to drop the moisture content a bit) then it I take it into the house and do the fine butchery and vac packing.
Looks great. Do you need to have plumbing ie washing set up inside to satisfy the EHO or does the system you describe mean you are ok with using your kitchen set up?

I haven’t added in a sink as it’s only for venison for me and my friends / family and not for resale.
So by breaking down primals whilst hanging I can put the meat directly into containers and then when I do the fine butchery in the house all the gooey bits are dealt with there.

I could have added a sink as I have a mains supply that I could extend to the shed, but to add a water heater would have required a much bigger power cable and I only buried a 6mm one when we did the ground prep 2 years ago.

Not the biggest issue as my previous larder /skinning stable didn’t have running water either.

Ordered the table today so will have that by end of the week and then it’s just the mincer to get and to fit the key clamp rail.
