New C50, quick release mounts or not ?

Hi folks, slowly building up my first dedicated foxing set up, have bought a new T3X light in 223 with ltd edition green stock and black cerakote 😀.
Just fitted a steel 20 MOA picatinny and trigger spring upgrade.
Waiting for a C50 (was tempted with a 4K Wraith).
Debating on standard tier one mount or QR mount as I’m sure once I use the C50 I won’t want to use the Pard 007 on my 22LR and 17HMR again.
Are the QR mount good or should I dedicate the C50 to my 223 ?
In an ideal world would have a C50 or wraith on all setups but finances don’t permitt.
TIA.

I have put Leupold QD mounts on my C50. The reason being that the image through the C50 is not good enough for load testing. So I have to put my optic scope on for an accurate POA, particularly when shooting at 200m to work out my real drop with a new load. As for a 20 MOA rail, I don't think you need one for fox shooting as, in my experience, the max range for shooting a fox using the C50 is 250m, if you want to kill it cleanly every time. Swapping scopes the MPI is repeatable to less than 1" at 100m.
I hope that helps.

Also these weaver steel QD 30mm mounts are excellent value. if your on a tight budget...

I've fitted Innomount on my own C50

Thanks, what hight are you using ??

Sounds like your well on your way to putting a great foxing setup together, the C50 is a fantastic NV.

My C50 is on an Innomount on my Blaser so I can swap for a standard optic. I chose the Innomount over a standard Blaser QR mount to get the eye relief that I needed which is easily over looked when figuring out a NV setup.

Whatever you choose make sure the ergonomics work for you and the shooting position is comfortable.

Good shooting..
