New chainsaw chain

Someone who's an agent for your make of saw. For example, the drive link and bar groove for Stihls and Huskys are a slightly different width for the same gauge of chain so it's best to stick to Stihl and Oregon chains respectively.

I use a local agri merchant. They are Husky dealers and their prices are good, often better than online suppliers. Chains direct are selling 5 L of Rockoil Groundsman chain oil for £26.40. I pay half that over the counter for the same product. I try and get a few other things while I'm there to make it worth my while. There's lots of small things. A 40 cube pack Zip firelighters for example are almost a third of the price charged by Tesco so I'll always get a few packs of those. It's surprising what you find when you root about.
Their are two branches locally of this firm. One is excellent with helpful. knowledgeable staff and the other is useless. I try and support the good one as much as possible.

Happy new chain day .
I'm a pretty easily pleased bloke . I have no desire for foreign holidays, and flash cars , but using a chainsaw with a new chain , is a wonderful thing indeed 👍.
Get yourself a chainsaw file and learn how to use it, you can have a new chain every day and its not rocket science :) 👍 The amount of chains I sharpen for mates with wood burners, I should start charging !!

Do you know the chain size?
If not, clean and look at your bar it’ll be on the engine end of it).
Once you have the specs you can start shopping.
