Happy new chain day .
I'm a pretty easily pleased bloke . I have no desire for foreign holidays, and flash cars , but using a chainsaw with a new chain , is a wonderful thing indeed.
You misunderstand sir . I sharpen my own chains, and after each little touch up , a saw is a joy to use , but , eventually the chains wear out , then comes that fine day when you open , and excitedly fit a new chain . That feeling as you feel a brand new chain bite into its first log is wonderful , it's happy new chain day.Get yourself a chainsaw file and learn how to use it, you can have a new chain every day and its not rocket science

I wouldn't deny for a second, the very great pleasure that others get from foreign travel , new cars , gimp suits or hot air ballooning , but for me , the simple pleasures are what make me smile the most .As much as I love my saws, and the sheer delight of a new chain, I get you. But watching a Leopard drag it’s pray up a tree, being less than a foot away from a Great White Shark, outwitting a Bone Fish in the Bahamas, SCUBA diving the Great Barrier Reef or standing on the top of Africa’s highest mountain.......Is better mate.
Not bothered about flash cars, my pick up truck is a testament to that! But travel is the very best thing.
ps: Great advice on buying new chains, I need a couple.

In my 52 years , I've never felt the slightest inclination to leave the UK (my wife and kids have all done their share of travelling ) , I just haven't finished looking around my own country yet . I have an open ended invite from a very good mate that has moved to Australia, to have a month shooting ,fishing and drinking with him , and my step son seems keen on moving to NZ, so I may yet get a passport and take a look .
