New DNT Zulus V2

Just weighing up if the LRF is needed for the 223 for nighttime foxing.
To be honest, probably not.
I've been loading 40gn in my 222 and it's flat as a witches blouse to 200+. My ballistic calc is set for a 50gn load and so is redundant at the moment.
In other words I haven't missed it really. I usually just confirm the distance with the laser.

Not needed on a centrefire..

Zero 1" high at 100yds, neigh on bang on at 200yds and past this 300yds aim at top of back/shoulder on a fox .

LRF and Ballistic are ideal for rimfire users and airguns, centrefires nice to have but definitely not needed..

Yes used it on my HMR the other week and it was brilliant 🤩

Have both 1 and V2, love them to bits and kinda agree with this. A v1 non-lrf is a bargain at that price - the picture quality is excellent; the inbuilt IR is all you will need and the camera recording is very good indeed. Saying that - with the LRF you can take more distant shots with confidence if using a centrefire - 300 is easily do-able. Where it really comes in to its own is on a .22 lr loaded up with rainbow trajectory subsonics - a very potent mix! Is it worth twice the price for the V2 - perhaps not…
As an aside I have a picatinny coming tomorrow which will let me put one on my 6.5x55SE - looking forward to seeing how it goes so watch this space….
