New Swarovski Z6i

Evening all,

I’ve been looking at getting a Swarovski Z6i MK2 2.5-15x56 P BT scope but have heard that there is a new Mk3 coming early next year. Does anyone have any information on this?

Is it worth waiting for this to come out, or just stick with trying to get a Mk2 version? There doesn’t sound like there is going to be a big price difference between the two.

Cheers.

I don’t know if a Mark 3 is on the horizon, but at that magnification you get virtually no advantage from a 56mm objective.

No advantage over what?
The bigger lens is heavier, bulkier and has to be mounted higher, but it gives no real advantage over the smaller 44mm objective in terms of light transmission or anything else.
The advantage of the bigger exit pupil is largely theoretical in the real world, with both scopes transmitting over 90% of available light.
The disadvantages of increased weight and a higher mount with the 56mm objective are real and constantly with you.
As always, your money, your choice.

Bushwear also seem to be stocking them, though I’ve seen no mentions or reviews anywhere…

It seems dealers were shipped the new scopes before actual release date which was to be announced at the Shot Show Vegas on the 20th but weren't told to hold selling them until the big announcement

One should be arriving at mine this morning

It'll be interesting to see the quality between this and the much more expensive Z8

Its a very nice scope with a good magnification range.

Yes I was 1 of the first to get 1 around a week ago.

I've had it out a couple of times since. Once to get it dialled in and set the BT out to 400 yards and a couple of times out stalking.

Its all you would expect from a big brand optic and still light weight.PXL_20260116_123613967.webpPXL_20260116_115841404.webpPXL_20260116_115835622.webp

I'm not sure they were told not to sell them. Just not to advertise so.
