On my 3rd pair of leather lined Chameau zipped wellies. Like wearing waterproof slippers. Will buy my 4th pair soon . Clean them and use silicone spray on them regularly. I love them..... Not cheap

Great topic, nice to see honest opinions from the guys who use the boots rather than the guys selling the boots.
Personally I would try the "Swedish boots" mentioned by a previous poster.
They are called Arxus. They are made by an ex employee of Le Chameau who set up on his own in Sweden.
They are thicker than any of the English or French boots and are made from 2mm natural rubber.
They are the best I have used so far in over 50 years of flat footed walking around in woods.
I suggest them since the original poster said he wasn't concerned about cost.

Aigle Parcours 2 have been great for me. Bought my wife some very smart Ariats which started off well, but everyone we know who has them has exactly the same fail in exactly the same place on the boot. Le Chameau have been pretty good in the past.

My everyday goto boots around the paddocks. Keep the water off in winter and the snakes in summer. I use the neoprene lined ones.

Been using chameau - darker green tall wellie since 2014 without real issues except buckle came off. Quite snug around the calf so the ‘crinkle’ quite a bit. Still waterproof and Im not great at washing them every use.
Cant say muckboot are good. Ok in the yard, give me bad heel blisters when walking. Were initially comfortable and they are warm but not great for stalking or other shooting in my experience

Like anything ,treat it well it lasts .Go hopping over barbed wire they all fall .Pair of le Cham for me any day .Had muck boots for a season but the heels fell apart so back to le chams .
Its the same with any of them though ,puncture the sole and you might as well have spent a tenner at mole valley .

I wanted to try some Skellerup,s but cannot find a local stockist. Have resorted to buying another pair of Hoggs Field Pro neoprene. They were £84. I had a pair about 18 months ago and after 6 months the R heal inside collapsed and they started to leak. Hoggs admitted they were faulty and I had a refund as none in stock. So I have given them a second chance. Good tough boots and fit well excellent for muddy conditions with good tread and warm. I hope these last.

I'm a dairy farmer, wellies go on at 5am & come off at 6pm near enough every day. Tried pretty much every brand going over the years. Now I stick with Skellerup Quattro. They're the only ones that last me more than 6 months. Just about to order what will be my 3rd pair in 4 years. That's amazing considering the rate I wear out other brands
