Ive been to the forest 5/6 times now, had 2 nice boars from a high seat/ tower,
but its not about getting the boar, its just being there all night alone and listening to them moving around
its a strange and wonderful place in the middle of the night, well to me it is, go and spend a night at the Speachhouse hotel
and take a walk when the bar shuts, fantastic. but you need your thermal spotter

Strange that because I thought the FE had all but eliminated boar in the FoD. See the post I submitted a long time ago.
Looking at the results from the ariel thermal surveys of fallow down south I wonder if similar has been attempted in the FoD. Probably more difficult due to all the ever green trees. Not had a walk over there for ages so may get over there soon. Will take thermal.

Still some about, this is the southern end of FOD a few months ago. Friend had a good hit on a camera in the centre of FOD last weekend.

I gather they have recently reduced the population to a high of 1,600 to their target of 400
