Nice frosty fallow

Decided to try and fox the dog walkers which seem to have largely put pay to most of my stalking of late, so up and out this morning before first light.
clear and bright with the hard frost it was easy to pick out deer before legal light and get into a good position. Took a nice buck which was hobbling on a front leg, nice head but there is a general policy locally with surrounding landowners to reduce fallow numbers substantially so anything go’s, no point keeping back trophies.
shot him fully expecting the rest of the bachelor group to run off but their obvious escape route back to the forest was blocked by their fallen comrade so they went out to the middle of the field where a second opportunity presented for a younger beast.
so, 2 in the bag and what a beautiful morning to be out! 55kg larder weight for each of them. B1935D15-3281-4B53-84ED-C45A54101F55.webp031D0AA3-D758-46BB-B839-D6D94F9C6A36.webp

Very tidy! I'm out Friday pm so fingers crossed 🤞

Bloody dog walkers are a right pain in the harris at the moment though!

Nestled nicely (but coldly) in the high seat for 2 hours last Friday, just getting to prime time when matey boy way off the footpath saunters down the wood edge!

He then proceeds to whistle and call for his lost dog 'Parker' which he'd failed to do until realising he was spotted.

I shan't repeat my comments here!

Nice looking bucks, well done.My Grandad used to say , an hour on a morning is with two at night. Quite right about dog walkers,joggers/runners and cyclists who seem to wear nothing but black and no feckiing lights.

Its finally confirmed that I need glasses.
I initially thought it had the biggest penis I'd every on a buck🙄
Amazing brace well done. 👍👍👍👍
