We got ours proper stuck in soft sand at the end of a shout. The tide was coming in and got to within about ten feet of the truck. We had an RAF Sea King circling overhead with the winch man hanging out the door laughing and making rude gestures (this was involved in the shout, not launched for us!). We ended up getting towed out by the RNLI Talus tractor so that wasn't embarrassing at all!
I've been known to get my old batterd l200 and tow the CG pickup out of the occational hole in the past. thank god you have found a use for the RNLI
