Non trophy buffalo

Here’s a pic of my non trophy buffalo from 2023 hunted in RSA shot at 105m across a dry river . Saw them at 5.30am and followed stalked and eventually got shot at 5pm .416rigby

Any Buffalo, or for that any other animal, that is hunted the proper way is a trophy in itself. Doesn’t really matter whether or not its a Gold Medal, Rowland Ward etc etc. as long as it is the right animal where the hunting is sustainable and ethical retaining the trophy is really no different to using the meat and hide etc - it is all part of respecting and using the animal.

Absolutely agree. My ultimate hunting experience would be a buffalo hunt. Karamojo Bell and Fredrick Selous have long been two of my heroes, and I'd love to think I was walking in their footprints, figuratively speaking of course.

I'd love to have taken something like that. Perhaps one day
