Morning all. Anyone using 224 55g 'E' tip in 22-250?. Before I start developing a load, I checked all round and could not find anything. I Emailed Nosler and they said no data yet, as 'most' 22-250's are 1:14 twist and the 55g need 1:10 or faster. Strange as they give data for 1:8 223!.
I have a 1:8 Proof Research and want to give them a go.
Any start points folks (NOT 'start low and work up', please). Preferably with Viht powder.

I have developed a load for them in my 1:9 twist 22" CZ 527 in .223 Rem and they shoot fine.

I've also used the 100gr E-Tip in my 257 Roberts and got decent expansion on muntjac so I have high hopes but sadly I haven't managed to put the 55gr to use yet. (Hoping to on a CWD later this month).

Nosler list their E-Tips with the same powder charges as same weight lead bullets but do caution coming up slowly. The E-Tips are long bullets so if you have reloading software, watch what happens with your effective powder capacity.

Viht do give 55gr data for 22-250 with Lapua FMJ and softs so I would be tempted to started there

Sorry can't be more help directly.
