Cannae believe this thread is stilll running.
No one was there so no one knows the exact situation, but i dinae think they have done anything that wrong
Must admit i feel the 2 coppers have been shafted by there bosses i would not be happy with the lack of support if i was them.
It is strange they left the beast for 2 days but they probably done it with the best of intentions.
And i think apache is correct in saying it will sound more officail if a vet says animal needs to be PTS than a stalker
Was going to add this earlier when it would be slightly more relevant (but then decided i wasnae gooing to get involved)
How many stalkers on here would lift or cut a deer free from a fence if its leg was caught up?
It will be more mobile than an RTA deer and it may very well survive but it will be in massive pain for weeks/months till it heels. And many may die too but just out of sight
I always PTS any deer i find in a fence, and generally when u skin them out the pelvis is almost dislocated and massive bruiseing.
