Oddball Martini

Do you know which model?

All can see on the Barrel, BNP (Crown over)'.....BSA GUNS LTD ENGLAND CARTRIDGE .22LR. .610" 039 in a cross looks like swords. BNP stamped on all other parts. And it weighs a ton Parker Hale peep sight, front sight element tunnel. Two barrel mounts for a tube scope if one EVER needed to fit one. I may be wrong but would the manufacture be around the 60s? The serial number is only three figures UG - - -

BC.

John Knibbs held the records I think but if you measure and weigh it you should be able to confirm this. That said it looks like an international ISU from the butt alone!
I used to lust after one of those as a youngish tyro!

Regardless of calibre it’s great to see these in use.

I had one for years, not sure what model but when purchased it had toe hook, hamster, spare foresight elements in a screw cap thingy on the stock, rear peepsight.
Took it to gunsmith, got it back with no toe hook, rail on top of receiver for scope,no iron sights and screwcut for PH moderator.
Killed some stuff with that old girl, deadly sitting out for foxes within 150 yards. Loved Eley Match ammo if I remember correctly.

That looks like a Norman Clark one, I have a mark 2 international, which was built by venom arms over 30 years ago , I have owned it all that time.

Thanks for putting this up, really nice bit of history there, real enjoyable read and a host of info 1st class

Brilliant
Thanks
Phil
