Oil or wax

I’ve used clear Briwax on my shotgun stock. Gives a nice sheen and it’s pretty durable.

Sounds just the ticket. I'll see if I can pick some up

I used Tru oil on one of my stocks and was quite pleased with the result until one of my 'friends' saw it and said that he didn't like the varnished finish.
He isn't my friend any more but I still like my stock !

I’ve done a couple with Tru Oil. Good enough but I liken it to one coat gloss as opposed to undercoat and top coats. Do you want it done quickly or do you want a high spec finish?
