On my way back up to Scotland

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am not sure if I can make this work, but here goes.

In about ten days time, I am heading off to the Isles and then on to Sutherland.

It is my intention to use this trip to visit Edinburgh Rifles and Henry Krank's - the trade off is that MrsS62 gets to shoplift (Lord I hope she will be shoplifting) her way around the House of Bruar.

Now then, to my point.

Does anyone have something (legal) that then need help collecting or delivering, that I can assist with?

If it in anyway helps, I will be at Bisley on Friday the 20th.

I think I will be pointing the truck North, on the 22nd.
Whilst at Ed’s, can you see what stocks he has for a sako 85 varmint, I have messaged him, if he has something decent it would be outstanding if you grabbed it and brought it back.

The first time I stopped at House of Bruar was on my way back after shooting my 1st stag. There was a picture in their art gallery of a stag in similar terrain to where I'd stalked. At £900 it was out of my price range. I met the artist the following year at the Game Fair; he still had the picture and I bought it for £300. A big chunk of the money saved still ended up with the HoB as my wife had decided it was the place to buy her Christmas present.
Have you ever noticed how, the further one travels from House of Bruar, items purchased uncannily morph from being “my next Birthday/Christmas/Anniversary present” to “no, this was bought to replace the old one that’s now worn out/used on dog walks/out of fashion”?

Many years earlier Boggy. Powder blue drape jacket, with maroon collar and cuffs, drainpipes 10" bottoms. Maroon suede shoes with gold chains, red shirt and bootlace tie. Waved hair and sideburns.
Not too long after, black beret, very little hair, drab khaki gear and highly polished boots.
Now I have red trousers and yellow cords.
You my friend have earned the right to wear any damned colour of trousers you wish.

While you are on 'the island' 😉 @Stalker1962 can you ask where the hell my tonne bag of cast antlers went? Couldn't get to it when I was last there due to stupid Covid rules!

Will split the profits with you after sale if you haul it back😛

Dont go buying one of those fancy kilts in there. There is no way I am having you crawl next to me when you are down stalking with me later in the year.o_O:eek: Or with young Jason either. The lads too young for such unholy sights.

Too late!

This was me on Mull a couple of years ago for a friend's 60th week.

Brace yourself Malc...

If Edinburgh Rifles has them the following please:
2000 Federal Gold Match large rifle primers etc

I've e-mailed Ed again but no reply.
Not quite what I had in mind...

For what it's worth, I have had regular contact with ER, in relation to non-lead bullet purchases and suggested loads for the same.
Always found him to be available and helpful.

FRB,

Not sure that it is appropriate for me to decide what is "decent" for your rifle.
If you can decide on what you want, then I can collect in on my way back down for you.

When we're on the A9 my kids sing (to the tune of "Donald, Where's Your Troosers":

"I just popped in to the House of Bruar,
I went in rich and I came out poor".

Not my favourite place.

Apologies Stalker1962 as I thought you were offering a packhorse courier service from Scotland to Bisley.

Enjoy your time across the Border.

Cheers
