Had the night off, hissing down too. I had my weekly soak in the bath. Should be good for another week now.

We were in London for he Schoffel awards
We didnt win but we had a lovely night - congratulations to the Bisterne estate and maybe will show to some that the big shooting estates can and do a lot of brilliant / amazing conservation work
Hope you didnt take the rifle mate...plenty of foxes but I imagine you would have found fame...and a prison cell
Vixen to go with the 2 dogs over the last couple of weeks. Proper sneaky one and hard to catch up with - been very hit and miss coming for bait. But happily cleared up a couple of crows last night. Came back for more tonight! Not great conditions out there tonight for either thermal or IR and think she stepped forward as I took shot - only ran 20 yards but put another in her to be sure.

Nice dog fox appeared within 15 minutes of me getting the motor in position (6.10 pm), looking over a bit of bait. Nice, easy 140 yarder shooting out the driver's window off the rest.

It's only spitting a little in Norfolk.
The plywood shelf i made up comes up the window about 5 inches as well, so that narrows the gap down.

Prime breeding stock, Ken. I should have left him to procreate with a fine looking vixen.
We sometimes get some immigrant foxes dumped on us. They are the most awful looking critters I've ever seen, skinny, mangy buggers, some have even had surgery
Yep, knocked a couple over in the wheat drillings yesterday and left them where they were. Gone this morning. As were the 2 magpies day before yesterday.
Pretty sure. But ****ing down out there so was a cursory check only.
Just in from a foray on the rats.
Windy but rain had passed through. It was manic and poor Daystate ran out of puff. Used 63 pellets dropped 3 and missed about 5 so 50+ removed. Must say my ancient Photon is still going strong and in close range situations its just ideal.
Lots of very difficult shots with heads peaking out from under pallets but off sticks it was line up and await the head.
Daystate is scary accurate with 10.5 grn Crossman Premiers.

Well that was frustrating! Got to a farm and curled up just outside the stack yard was what looked like a huge dog fox but by the time I got to where I could shoot he had gone. I hung around to see it would return, nope. I then visited another place and returned an hour later, nothing!
