Didn't see my fox. No surprise really, it'll be layed up somewhere cosy...

I went back to the high ground I visited last night, hoping to catch up with the dog. Blast, it was a tad breezy
Deer all laid up along the hedges out of the wind.

I pulled out at 21:30, Land Rover felt like it was going to tip over, seriously.
Lots of trees & boughs to dodge going back to the village.
Going back tonight to do it properly.

I doubt I'll look tonight. Not had much sleep and brought three loads of ash home today.

Out last night on a new farm after some issues with the foxes thinking lamb is acceptable as a midnight snack. Had a quick tour with the farmer in the buggy then off for a wander with the .243. Set up overlooking about 150 acres and after about 5 minutes out pops a fox....it was on to me so a slightly rushed shot and a quick 20 yard dash by the fox and she was down.

Spent another couple of hours on different spots but no more foxes seen.

Had farmer with me tonight in yard moaning about fox coming up to take hens. Quick scan with thermal revealed fox in field coming towards us. 158 m no pressure with farmer stood there lol. Another dog
Then off to poultry unit for a quick scan. Spotted a fox crossing field . I shouted whistled squeaked nothing would stop him eventually stopped just over 160
