Out last night.

I knew it wouldn't work last night because the wind was all wrong. Did not show but did just before light.
I was there until midnight and have been monged out all day at work!
Here it is tucking into fried chicken for breakfast!

Bright moon again tonight, just going out to bait with a pile of rabbits, just taking thermal and no rifle.

Guess what will happen ?

Well just baited 2 farms , saw 9 roe and about 40 rabbits but no foxes.

Foxing is weird though - i sat all night last night and nothing - put my pal on the cabin tonight - 20 minutes later bang one down ! Happy days !

Nothing seen other than lots and lots of hares and about 20 roe deer - and a lovely display by 2 barn owls
Saw a few woodcock moving too - presume resident as a bit early for the migrants ?

Last week I saw a barn owl teasing a hare and the hare chasing it and leaping up at it. Whether it's after a new born leveret I don't know but I've seen it a few times now.

No show last night for the Foxes, Plenty other wildlife about but no target species and non seen either, It was a nice night to be out but not a good foxing night, The moon was huge with clear skies and no wind at all so this didn't help the cause.

Just drove 14 miles to a friend's wife's stables . The run down livery has lots of horses, chickens and turkey's of which have been victims of cheeky bold fox's that sometimes have to be chased off by the owners of the horses.
I've been introduced to a few folk and waiting for them to leave. Not one of them has mentioned gun noise. Not one has asked if it will scare their horses as they just want the fox's dead.
I just hope I don't balls it up for them
