Last nights foray was better than promised, as the air was completely still, allowing the Thermacell to do its job 100%
A little hazy from the days heat but still doable ............... This year's Dog.
Pretty cluttered with Dolly the sheep, but OK when you take care properly.
KosherI wouldnt worry about the sheep....collateral damage
I keep telling one of the farmers I shoot for that I want some mutton and lamb for the freezer...he says "you have a rifle..crack on, just give me the tags"![]()
The buggers around here transported it and it's ruined my rabbit trade. Good ol' establishment, do anything illegal they can but anyone else...Well VHD somewhat messed up my Sat night as its pretty well wiped out the rabbits. There tend to be a lot on one patch ...on the way there I shot 2 in one small field..left by the gate and had a 3/4 mile walk up a steep hill to find only very small rabbits and a couple of hares....headed back down and spotted a heat signature in the field I had come from but it looked "odd". Switched to the Zulu to see one of my dead rabbits in the middle of the field. On further inspection it was missing its head.
5 Mins later the culprit reappeared and much to my disliking it was something I couldn't shoot ... bloody badgers.
All in all a waste of time ...however the farmer doesn't want the rabbits there so I suppose he is happy![]()

Nicely done... amazing to see how far they can make it when they havent realised they are deadMeant to post this yeaterday, out on sunday night as new fields have been cut, didn't have long to wait before a cub turned up wee bugger was mousing along edge of the park then it dissapeared into the edge, spotted another 1 coming along only for it to do the same cub No 3 spotted 2 fields over but wouldn't respond to calls. by this time 1st cub reappears and is soon taken care off, it was somersalting about spraying red stuff everwhere only for it to make it into heavy growth ? cub 2 appears top corner and is hit in the chest and good night all. only 1 pic taken as I couldn't get a pic of 1st oneView attachment 483301
Nicely done (not on the missing part of course)Not quite last night but couple ago, had to enter the correct data in the alpex as was using the same profile for 58gn and 75gn so put one under the belly of a fox at 180m very annoying…
After making a new profile, first night out, farmer dropped some hay so went for a nosey. This little chap at 70m and the 75gn made a fair hole in her
