PCP compressor recommendations

I use the hill compressor for my air rifles

I’ve had the system for 3 years

I’ve no complaints

As a barely relevant aside

I gave up diving coz of the headaches
Headaches were matched to skip breathing, tight neck seals, dehydration, crap air, mine mostly came from herding cats divers meeting at Gatwick until the end of the first days diving lol I pulled a good stroke in Mozambique as the Boer lads complained their English was not so strong with the videos/books. The whole room went silent when I said that's fine here is a manual/video/exams in Dutch  The old Boer laughed and laughed saying you won't get a blade of grass past this English man lol

In the non commercial world I was a SADS diver with the RN

A BSAC 2nd class diver

And a PADI instructor

The PADI lot were a nightmare

Instantly ‘saltwater soluble’ diving discipline

Put another dollar in
Was semi ccr drager dolphin then ccr with buddy inspiration ybod yella box of death

Ok might be fine for PCP

But remember after time that rusty cylinder holds 300bar or 4350psi

Yer car tyre is 35psi

Yes those cylinders are potential bombs

So yes id be making sure I was using driest air / filtration possible

I had a go on a Russian suitcase for won't of a word one lunch time, Luke my DM at the time had a BOD, put my jacket on and came down with me to the sand @ 10 mts, the air tasted like battery acid so I spat that out and grabbed the spare DV and up we went...lol
Handed it back to the chap saying in best Essex "you can poke that lol"
Had a Russian chap on the dive boat (in Egypt) who booked to come snorkelling, we tied off on the minesweeper and I took a few for a dive around it, 30mts to the prop then looked at the same chap who had snorkelled down following our bubbles
He looked around and went up lol Shook his hand for making it but asked him to tell me he would be doing that next time lol🤣

@sauer
One thing with these threads that go down the yellow brick road a few (like yourself) understand

In Dahab with a great chap (for a German as he had a sense of humour) so blended the previous 100m back gas to do a 76m cavern the next day
through the canyon out turn right and there it was! He leads with the brief to be out min 20 + 1 then ascend all good, so I count the start of going in add a min for my self. A big black ray on the sand of the cavern gave it a look still following "Flo" got to the end poked around with the mini q40
"time to go" so I was leading on the out and decided to take a closer look at the big black ray, well the wash off my Quattro's was enough to disturb it but I never saw this thing swim up and skim over Flo
Out at min 20 with all sorts of you fing banker signs as we started the accent, he had calmed down by then as I just ignored him and got on with my deco lol
When were surfaced he said F U I felt like Steve Irwin and covered my heart as it's big barb was the only thing I saw lol
Very funny.

I’ve just bought an other Hill 310 and Dry PAC they are great but expensive one couldn’t quite keep up at bigger competitions hence the second.

You could fit the dry pac to a cheaper compressor that would help.

Why not buy a 300 bar 12 litre bottle and just get it filled up every couple of years. ?
My cylinders go out of test before they are empty.
If you have two use one for bulk filling and the other for top end pressure.
I always get mine filled in the winter leave outside on a frosty night and also make sure the fill station top it up to max pressure. I had a re tested refilled cylinder come back less than 80% of max pressure. No good for PCP.
