I’m lucky in that I have never paid to shoot except for a DSC1 course. I give a bit of venison to landowners rarely, I take about 13-15 roe a year for the freezer but I lost one of my best permissions last year when the farmer died and I’m counting the months on my other best one as he’s having a solar farm installed. I do have another 100 acre wood that the owner has just changed from wanting two shot a year to lots more. I do take him out stalking occasionally.

Free apart from one estate which I pay a rent for the stalking / sporting rights , set up a small walk one stand one shoot up there

Free, over about 3000 acres made up of 6 farms/small holdings , I do stay on top of vermin and foxes but don’t see that as a chore as I enjoy all forms of shooting….
