The op may not quite no the etiquette to obtain himself a bit of stalking but the have loads of places to go experts that go out twice a year can't help them selves with their stupid arrogant posts that help nobody.

Not to rain on your parade OP but most of the ground around here, like most places I'd guess, is taken by other shooters - whether that is the landowners, recreational shooters or people that have bought the rights to take out paying clients. As I said on the other thread about land availability in the area (that appears to have been deleted) it took me 10 or so years of vermin control for several landowners in the local area before I manage to get permission for deer, which to start off with was 12 acres out of nearly 3000 at the time for vermin! The initial leads for the vermin all those years ago coming through a work contact who's family owned a farm just outside of Calne. That is being out once or twice a week with an air rifle / ferrets, then rimmie, then CF to get my name known as someone who is reliable and safe.

I am aware of one paid syndicate very near you that is just for vermin and rough shooting without any deer allowed at all, so its not just deer where the money gets involved!

In the end I got permission from one landowner for deer / fox / vermin that had knocked me back right back at the beginning for just rabbits with an air rifle, unless you are very lucky you need to put in a lot of time and effort and you may just get some deer out of it!

Negative....I was asked to knock on some doors as they had a problem and I was recommended and did the courteous thing...FAC,References ,Professional Indemnity, Safety Audit,Ground Safety Survey and cull Agreement.....recommendation was from another Wildlife professional

That's really not the same as unsolicited door knocking though is it, that's an invitation!

Gentlemen,

This thread has again turned from someone simply asking if their is any permission in a local area, into something off thread again. I see little to be gained by any further comments.
