I can’t seem to get rid of the pain in my heel, tried the stretching, massaging, special pf insoles and it’s still painful - bareable just really annoying! Any one got any tips have to alleviate/get rid of the pain? Just thought it would be good to maybe get advice from a stalker who has experienced this issue….Facebook everyone is trying to flog you something when you ask!

are you sure thats what it is?

Have you seen a specialist?

Rest. Alternate soaking between hot as you can bear water and ice slush in two bowls. Elevate your leg after.

Rolling your foot on a golf ball on a hard surface also helps as above.

My last episode lasted 2 years.
I can tell when trying footwear that it will strain my foot and hence I'm quite picky about what I buy, cheap or otherwise.

One pair of wellies I can wear one day only and another pair for a number of days.
My boots are sound.

Try ditching the boots and wearing good quality walking trainers such as lowa - boots have their place but a lot of sports therapists advise that they don’t allow the foot & ankle to behave naturally. It might not be the right solution for you (everyone’s different) but a lot of stalkers seem to get this and it has been linked to driving and walking in boots 🥾

Hope you get it sorted 👍🏻

I used to get it on and off until I pushed it too far running, then it was there all day and night , first few steps in the morning are still a shocker. Been seeing thr nhs physio for thr last couple of months and its deffo improved. It's mix of getting the flexibility back, strengthening thr other muscles and getting the right footware in my opinion. Best of luck with it.

Laser or (earlier) ultrasonic stimulation via the local chiropractor may have helped when I had it; it stimulates the body into beginning the healing process itself.

Not fun, especially if you’re self employed, have had 3 separate bouts of it over the years.

Rest is best.

I too tried all the stretching, straps and insole inserts. A tennis ball on the floor, roll your foot firmly around on it offered the only tangible improvement- though very temporary.
Took a couple of months or more for mine to fade away.
This was the best thing I did for mine. Rolling my foot on a tennis ball on a hard surface for 3 minutes then ice the sole of my foot with one of those gel pads that goes in the freezer. Also I wear walking boots with superfeet insoles from when I get up until when I go to bed, even in the house. It's been a year and much better now, it would've been quicker if I stuck to doing the tennis ball and ice exercises 3 times a day.

I can't wear wellies any more, I can manage a day in one pair when I'm stalking now but I think it was wearing them every day that caused it for me.
