I use an Opinel No.12 for my main stalking knife. Have been fairly happy with it but recently the handle got damaged by turning the lock sleeve too far round.
I emailed Opinel and sent them photographs thinking that they would just send me a replacement but no, "send it back and we will have a look at it".
I did that and eventually after about a month they sent my knife back with a new handle.
Not really worth the effort when a new one is about £18 so my advice is get an Opinel but don't go much on the guarantee.

I had an Opinal fold up on me years ago when I was hocking the legs on a rabbit. Cut the back of three fingers near to the bone. In the dark with cold with wet hands I thought I had turned the lock ring round properly, but hadn't. Went off them there and then.

I did the same, we just need two others for a small group buy. 604 SEK comes out just under £50 a knife.

Arthur Wright, Sheffield. Lambs Foot carbon steel. Sharpest pocket knife I ever owned, easy to sharpen & holds a edge like a razor. Had many Opinels over the years, but lost count of the tips I broke, you will never break the tip off a Lambs Foot.
