Post your rifle setup including weight

I am sorry, messed up with pictures.
Here is my trusty CZ550 308win + Hausken JD224. Weight 4,5 kg with 1-6x26 scope and 4,7kg with 3-18x50.

My favorite stalking rifle - Savage 14 Euro Classic 243win. Used together with heavy as hell AseUltra North Star suppressor. 4.6kg

4.3kg unloaded but including mag and bolt (or 9.5lbs if you prefer)

Tikka Superlight in 6.5CM (24 inch barrel), Nigeloh sling, Stalon mod, neoprene cover, optilock mounts, Steiner ranger 6-24x56 scope, spartan javellin bipod mount

Heavier than I’d realised!
How do you find that scope?

Following on from a recent thread let’s see what you use. I’ve had all sorts over the years from Blaser R93 with a custom stock to my current stalking rifle that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

Please post calibre and weight if possible. As weight is an interesting point when it comes to carrying a rifle all day or for three hours on a morning or evening jaunt around the pastures.

Current rifle is The Fix by Q wearing either a proof research carbon 6.5 creedmoor 24” barrel or a Bartlein 16” .308

Both wear an Oceania defence mod and I’m using a Bushnell LRHS. I’ve had all the big names now and this works so well I’ve not replaced it with another Schmidt, yet….

Weigh is 9lbs loaded.

For some reason my words didn't appear next to the rifles:

On the left: Sako 85 stainless cerakote in 30:06, has a S&B Stratos on but an Alpex 4K going on last week

On the right: Precision Rifle Services (Callum Ferguson) Lightweight Stalker in 6.5x55 with a Swaro Z6i

Mods have come off to cool (was after a gong session) but the 6.5 sports an ASE and the '06 a Barton Gunworks one.

Both pretty lightweight rifles under 10lbs with bipods on etc

Lovely setups you have.

Going to be rude about the sako. Get yourself a Near picatinny rail for it. It will really enhance the rifle. Also a spot lf fluting for the bolt wouldn’t do a miss 😁😜😘

The McMillan Stocks is very nice I’m jealous of the 85. I’m personally stuck with a KKC. As McMillan no longer inlet for Salk 85’s.

The Sako has got a Picatinny rail on!

The PRS would have one on too but I couldn't find one to fit the Nesika action sadly which meant I had to sell the S&B Polar as it wouldn't mount. I like the Z6i but not there choice of....one reticule!

The Near rail doesn’t used optilock bases and is a one piece steel rail that imho suits the quality of the sako action.

Such a shame you couldn’t find a rail. I’m sure that Neil Mckillop could make you one. He used to make a sako rail that was like the Near rail but better as it was bespoke to the rifle.

Would the Talley 34mm rings not work? What model Nesika action. Have you got?

Just finished a T3 with 22" 6.5CM Sendero Carbon Barrel, PSE Evolution stock, Atlasworx AICS floorplate, flush fitting 3 shot MDT magazine. With 20 MOA steel rail fitted just at 3kg.

Come on Edi we need photos. 22” is a great length for the 6.5 creedmoor.

No, the 34mm Talley mounts wouldn't work, the S&B Polar is like the PMII that is has an extra knob on the body for the paralax and so the rings are in a potentially awkward place so the only option was a rail. I'm not sure what Nesika action it was but I needed an option fairly quickly so just sold the Polar and bought a Z6i anyway

Weight as is. 6.5CM, 22" Proof Sendero pre-fit Carbon wrap barrel, Atlasworx AICS floorplate, MDT 3 shot flush fit mag, PSE Evolution stock, wide barrel channel, CTR/AICS bottom metal inlet. With 20MOA steel rail 3kg, without just under 2.9kg.

You have just got me searching for a black tikka action and a proof barrel 🤣

That’s lovely.

Lovely, although looking at the shots on that barn door in pic 2 you need to find the right ammo……..😉
