Pulsar axion key xm 30

I’m thinking about taking the plunge and having an entry level thermal. I recently trialled the pulsar Xm30, and compared it to the iray and hik vision and preferred the pulsar of the three.

Annoyingly though I couldn’t get the unit to display a battery level indication, even when on charge all it had was a power lead symbol.

Does anyone have this unit? Is this normal or was it user error. This was my only gripe with the unit so I’m probably being picky.

would also appreciate any other feedback on the xm30 before I take the plunge.

No, charging it via usb mains. Just had a symbol on when on charge. No indicator of whether the unit was charged and no battery indicator on the unit display when in use. I did read online that the green led on top goes red when battery level is below 10%.
just ensure whether it’s a setting il be able to change or a feature il have to get used to

Sounds like a menu setting thing to me Tim. I've got an Axion Key 30 and it has the battery indicator on constant display (must admit I don't really fiddle with the menu settings on mine so no idea whether you can turn the battery indicator icon on or not).

The LED on the unit does indeed turn red when the battery is running low - normally after about 4 hours I find.

I’ve got the XM22 which is similar. I noticed a green light at the rear top of the unit indicating (I presume) a full charge. I’ll post a photo later.

That’s great cheers, hopefully the brand new one will just have it on the display 😂

Ignore my previous post. The little green light is one when the device is running NOT seeming as a full charge indicator.

That was almost incoherent (I blame auto-predict). What I meant to say was: the little green light seems to indicate the unit is running as opposed to fully charged. You can just see it at the tip of the arrow button. It’s so muted I didn’t even notice it to begin with.

It's a great bit of kit.
I got one of the first ones that Toby at McLeods got in and am delighted with it.
It shows the battery state when you are looking through it, it does not keep good time but who cares, I wear a watch.
