If anything Pulsar are really good at firmware updates , I personally have had no issues but be assured if there are issues to be addressed they will be very soon .

No chance, my old x sight pro was the worst bit of kit I’ve ever had. Froze every single time I used it. Absolutely woeful.Pulsar must be using Firmware by ATN
Had my C50 out last night.
I have to say the overall "night time" image on the C50 is immense, it controls the image balance brilliant and requires minimal IR in comparison to any other digital night vision unit.
I've been using a 50mm AS LED illuminator as its more than enough for these units and you gain a better flood too, nice clean image...
The field of view on the C50 is perfect for up close, it's nearly twice as much as the likes of a Pard NV008, so you get on quarry really quick, the PIP function is the best available having the scalable reticule option too, so this prevent having to change magnifications and you instantly have holdover points at a higher amg within the PIP, no faffing at all. The eye display is definitely best in class too...
In comparison to all the other night vision units, this unit also has the best low light dusk mode, by far, it will beat any other digital or top end scope (Zeiss/Swaro,etc ) in minimal light situations offering full colour when there is minimal light during this period.
Daytime at base magnification it is superb, but it is not the best during the day for digital magnification, using a base mag of 14x during the day the image pixelates , so daytime usage at longer ranges the 4K units have the edge for sure, the likes of the Wraith 4K for daytime higher magnification , but then these are in no way a comparison to the C50 at night or low light colour which is amazing.
The speaker in the C50 seems a lot more sensitive than the Thermion models and the microphone openings seem larger, so I might test with a spare cap I have, blocking two of the ports with tape, to test if it tames it down a bit...
When downloading images, I would download direct to PC/MAC to achieve the best quality footage.
I bought in a heap of the different digital scopes to test during day and night.
In terms of Deer Stalking, low light and staying out foxing into the night... buy the C50 without question, it's good software, performance, build and is the best allround complete unit.

Had the Pulsar C50 out with a few different IR torches as well as a mates Infiray td50l and Yukon sightline n470s. One thing we all agreed on was the Excalibur was the best IR
I totally agree with all your comments and, as you say, the only downside is the clarity of day time image at x14mag, especially when zeroing at 100m.
I'm a bit of a tech dinosaur. How did you get it to download to a Mac?
I think that pretty well sums it up.
Just connect it via the side port into your Mac, turn the Digex on, then look through the eyepiece you will see two options , one saying use as powerbank the other saying use as memory storage , select the memory option and your computer will this, then just drag the files across .
I could shoot a fox at 300yds easy with an AS LED on flood and the full view is visible . It is in a sense a true night vision in comparison to everything else which required heaps of IR , but even if you throw a lot of IR at the C50 it will control it still..
I struggle to get on some rabbits under 50yds with certain NV units as the field of view is tiny , the FOV is huge on these and eyeshine very clear and visible … Like I say in terms of night vision performance these are the best , I’ve been waiting for a proper NV with a scaled PIP option for a long time ..straight on target with precise holdover points ..
I can swap between any of my Pulsar Thermals with InnoMount’s and 50yd zero and my C50 with 50yd zero and holdover is identical with the true mildot options .
So my three scopes have everything covered
Thermion 2 XP50 rats, rabbits, foxes , best 640 unit on the market , with true netD, test it against anything above 90% humidity and you will find a lot of bluffers in the market with quoted figures..
Digex C50 rats, rabbits, foxes… best NV digital unit on the market more so 40–300 yds
(4K units show really good resolution and detail up close ATN 4K and Wraith 4K at night for ratting and daytime Wraith 4K best image retention with mag at range in day light )
Senopex A7 long range rabbits, foxes , the best long range scope on the market for the £££…Destroys everything else from 100yds to 800yds
But on saying that the Pard NV008P is still a great all in one unit and perfect on a bullpup setup , there so light and compact .. better for 50yds and beyond because FOV is tight , but need a lot more IR , great on FX Impacts , etc For lightweight setups.

Basically a lot talk bollocks and don’t put their money were their mouth is to actually test alongside , I’ve always said it as it is .. I’ve upset people , which IMO need to stop being wet wipes and man the FU, but I’ve spoken my mind always..
Everyone else needs to be more transparent in this game , there’s too many biased YouTubers , pro staff, ambassadors, distributors, retailers, magazines who basically … lie through there teeth, let’s face it how many of them have all the kit out in the field in various conditions… not many..

Originally Pulsar files were AVI format and the sound was interlaced differently so some systems could not play it back , more so on the apps...
Later Pulsar made all the video files .MP4 format which is compatible with basically everything PC and MAC and they resolved the interlaced sound issues too, as prior I had to convert some to allow sound on OSX, that was sorted, they all just drop straight in now...

I’ve a few videos from the c50 fox shooting , down loaded via stream vision 2
and there that bad I wouldn’t even atempt to load on here

Tomorrow and Sunday evening yes.
DSC1 for me next weekend so as soon as that’s out of the way I’ll take the Delta Titanium off my 243 and whack the C50 on.
Then it’ll be fox and deer for the 243.
